"My 11 year old daughter wanted to learn Greek before our summer trip to Greece.  Ms. Georgia not only taught her conversational Greek, but also the sounds of the Greek alphabet to allow independent learning.  The 1 : 1 lessons helped my daughter learn more Greek in 6 months with Ms. Georgia than going   2 years of weekend Greek school !  Thank you Ms. Georgia for all your efforts !"

"My son José-Miguel needed help with reading, writing, and math, and we were fortunate to find NYC Academics and Ms. Georgia almost three years ago.  José-Miguel now receives enrichment on the three subjects on a regular basis.  The program has been very helpful for the New York State Examinations as well as enhancing his working habit.  Ms. Georgia is a wonderful educator, who offers personalized tutoring for Jose-Miguel, and knows his weaknesses and strengths. She knows how he learns best and encourages him to be a high achiever. My husband and I are very pleased with the academic improvement José-Miguel has had!"                                                                                                                                                                                                                             6/15  -- V. "My son Demetri, a 4th grader, has been receiving academic enrichment since 2013  with NYC Academics. He has improved and receives satisfactory grades.  His teacher in the public school noticed right away his speedy process of comprehension and language proficiency reaching grade level competency. We are happy with the program and recommend it to other parents!"

My daughters, 3rd grade and 4th grade were coached full time in Math and ELA during the summer 2010, passed with satisfactory scores and moved up to 4th and 5th grades. I was so happy they did not have to repeat the grade. I was relieved I found an excellent teacher to coach them through this difficult time.

First, my daughter Karen was tutored in a group in 1st grade for the whole year in 2008. Her reading level moved up from C to K. Second, she received 3rd grade ELA coaching in order to retake the 3rd grade exam in the summer of 2010. Her score from 28% moved up to 85% after intense coaching for two months. I was extremely pleased and recommend the program to my friends.

My Kindergarten son, Andy, was tutored in guided reading, writing, and math. His reading level improved and became an independent reader. His motivation increased and work habits have definitely improved throughout the year.

My daughter, Stamatia, who was attending I.S.141, was coached for math test prep in 6th grade for four months in 2010. Her math grade from 82 in class went up to 95. Her score in the NYS Standardized test improved tremendously and reached a perfect score of 4. I knew my daughter was a good and dedicated student; however, the help of an experienced and successful instructor made a big difference too. Enhancing her 6th grade math skills, helped her build confidence and motivated her to successfully move forward in her academic studies.

My 20 year old son, Kosta, was struggling to pass the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Entry Exam, and through a family referral contacted the instructor. He received tutoring in Math in the Fall of 2012. In a short period of time, he was coached in the math skills he needed to pass the exam with success. I was so happy that now he is accepted in the program and this is a step closer in reaching his dream. Many thanks to a dedicated and successful coach.

I have two daughters, Sofia and Irene, who are both dedicated students and who are eager to excel in their academics. In 2009, I realized that my eldest daughter was struggling in English. It upset her to see that her other grades were 90s but her English grade was in the low 80s. She was tutored for five months and within those five months I saw a tremendous improvement in both of her reading and writing skills. The tutoring sessions had allowed my daughter to feel confident in her abilities which helped her get a four on her standardized test.

My youngest daughter found herself in a similar situation when it came to mathematics. It was difficult for her to grasp certain topics and caused her fall behind in her classwork. Math is one of those subjects where once a child falls behind, it is difficult to catch up again. Within the same five months, my daughter was able to improve her mathematics skills as she began to look at solving problems in a different light. My youngest daughter also received a four on her standardized test.

Both of my daughters are now in high school and are doing exceptionally well in their studies. I am thankful that they received the tutoring because it helped give them a strong foundation that they now carry with them. Working with a mentor also gave them a chance to improve their confidence and keep themselves motivated as they move forward in their academic careers.
