NYC Academics believes that physical well-being is essential to student’s success in their academic careers. We focus on providing a well-rounded educational experience, including yoga and nutrition programs. Our goal is to provide a supportive environment where kids and their families can feel safe and grow to their full potential: as students and as citizens of their own community.

 

Yoga instruction for kids and adults helps to provide stress relief and improve concentration. Even with non-strenuous, consistent physical activity, it is proven that kids’ academic performance — especially in completing their homework assignment and classroom participation — increases their learning abilities. While yoga has become popular recently, it is a foundational element of many civilizations; it has provided civilizations in China and India, dating as far back as 1000 BCE, with ability to improve their discipline.
